Little things...

last night my sister Jill and i were talking. we always have the best talks. i'm so lucky in the sister department, all 7 of them, plus my amazing Mom, are my role models, the women i want to be just like. i can talk to them for hours and still wish we had more time to talk. last night Jill said something about how little things have a tendency to change your life forever. it really got me thinking about life, and all those little things... little things like adding an R to Ms to make Mrs. little things like an 8lb baby coming into your home and teaching you, as a parent, a thing or two about life, love, the beauty of a good night's rest, and diapers. little things like an ounce of gold and diamonds arranged so beautifully into the perfect engagement ring, that it takes your breath away. little things like a good night text to set your worrying mind at ease, letting you know that the man you love has made it home safely. little things like reading a book to your neice or nephew, as they curl up on your lap, and sometimes even fall asleep. little things like the striped pink baby sock that kept my sister Lindy sane while her new daughter lay in a glass box in the NICU 6 years ago. little things like a hand to hold reminding you how much you are loved. so many times we overlook the little things. so many times we miss what is important because we're too busy worrying about the things that dont really matter, but its the little things that we look back and remember with perfect clarity.
